Mild Phimosis

I am 18 years old and have recently noticed that my foreskin is a little tight. It was never a problem, but since I became sexually active I have been getting small cuts on my foreskin after sex.

I can retract the foreskin fully when flacid and after a few days the cuts heal up. My girlfriend wants me to see a doctor but I am a bit reluctant (I'm scared, and dont want to be circumcised!) I would appreciate any advice.
