I think you're fine with what you're doing - keep it clean and sterile - naturally you SHOULD go to a doctor and he will stitch it or etc. ... You are in fact (in my humble opinion) doing the best thing.

Once a frenulum breve is ripped, the best thing to do is to keep the foreskin retracted (with some form of antiseptic), so that the frenulum does not rejoin (the ripped surfaces rejoin through coagulation, and are then often even shorter than before)

Yes, the frenulum ripping is a shock, but it is actually the most natural way to cure the problem, and good that you seem to have the bleeding under control - Quenu MD. maintained the profuse bleeding could lead to death.- anyway look on the bright side - you probably got a few years to go yet ...
