This site discusses phimosis in its specific forms of phimotic ring, frenulum breve, adhesions or skinbridges. During erection these conditions inhibit the relationship between foreskin and glans. This functionally restricts the erection, and thus has an effect on the sexuality. With our culture's attitudes on health care, it would be appropriate to encourage early prevention.

WOUNDS, PAIN, BENDING = FRENULUM BREVE

Dear Mr. Stuart:

I am 23 years old and I am very interested in knowing if I have phimosis or not. I mean that I have made love many times, but most of them I have felt pain, and I still get wounds in my penis, but not always.

How could I be sure that I have phimosis without visiting a doctor? If there is an answer to this question I would very glad if you could let me it.

Thank you for your attencion. Sincerely,

.... I told him to check the frenulum

Thank you very much for your help. After making the diagnosis, I can tell you that I don«t suffer phimosis. On the other hand, I think I can have a little frenulum, but I«m not sure. The thing is, in the beginning of my sexual relationships I get pain in my frenulum, but then I can keep it on better. But many times I get wounds in it, so I think I can have a problem with it. But when flaccid, I don«t have any problem at first sight, although my penis comes downwards a little when I take the foreskin totally down.

I hope my explanation has been complete enough. Thank you very much for your attencion. Yours, sincerely,

.... I repeated it was the frenulum - not phimosis -
