what about the glans?

if i use betamethasone 0.05% to thin the skin of the prepuce so it can be retracted over the head, what about the head itself? it will have the cream against it at the same time as the foreskin does, is it harmful for the skin on the glans to be thinned as it no doubt would be with the presence of the cream on the inside end of the foreskin?
