Hello Bob,
This is a bit of a long letter ... there are 5 sections .. they get more interesting as it goes ...

> I find it near-laughable (though I know you don't!) that something as simple as a foreskin problem can be botched by an "expert."

Ironic is a very good word for my situation - a dorsal slit would not work now - its hard to explain my cut better than in the original letter, .. its true I probably havent settled down to a good chuckle about the situation -- I mean there are hundreds of things which are worse (cancer, hunger) its just that this is so idiotic - for modern medicine ---

I hear often that it is botched, and its not just men being over sensitive about their genitals, I have NEVER heard a complaint about frenuloplasty, frenuloplasty is a far more complicated little operation but it is performed with an intelligence and practice and training which is worthy of modern surgery, --- circumcision is the oldest op. in the book and I mean the basic thing is, it is taboo, and part of this taboo, (this funny uncomfortable feeling in the stomach) is that people cant think clearly, .. and doctors are people ... the scientific world and rational thinking has not yet had much influence here ...

I like the Danish idea, ... in Germany they check at 6 yrs. and circumcise a number of boys
>none of them waste time on these stupid problems that occupy Brits (and
>Americans who are abandoning circumcision) to such a remarkable degree. ... ...
indeed we are making some absurd oversights in routine preventive medicine ...

I am agreeing with you more and more on the minimal dorsal slit, as a simple practical measure for kids, while any other experiments (betamethasone) take place - I say in other threads, dorsal could be done without bodging, by any medic, in a half hour, (probably 5 minutes) and is easier than wart removal. ... on the communal site under "KidsCorner" under "DorsalSlitSuccess" is report on a very good doctor in Buffalo ... I`ll have it zipped on my site soon ...

I think there could be a number of better routine attitudes than circumcision or doing nothing, and we must keep an open mind on betamethasone and kenalog, it increases the rate of retraction among boys, so its also worth considering as a routine prevention

Where I feel RDS would be appropriate is a country which is just getting on its feet enough to provide vaccines, here in my opinion, a minimal dorsal slit would be thoroughly advisable, cheapness would also make it preferable to anything else

hey also, did you notice my new oil of cloves idea for hyper-sensitive glans - this must surely be a good idea, simple cheap safe, easily obtainable, ... this brings me to another subject I was thinking of general prevention recently ... its maybe the next step in our thoughts about a dissolving agent for infant (epithelial) adhesions:
_____________

The frenular-phimotic complex is a form of stiffness,What we really need is a regeneration of the skin (eg. stretching directly hinders atrophy) steam in the shower is often reported to work, sunshine is the next logical step, take him (your son) to a naturist colony would be a safe idea ... maybe use of salt water (the sea the beggining of all growth)

I often wonder if some ancient tribe developed for example a tradition of rubbing themselves with grape juice, or calfs liver, or ... something with enzymes and minerals .. and growing stuff ... and none of them can explain why they do it, just there`s a story about some wise old medicine man who had said to do this .. (to all new borns ... )

something with enzymes and minerals .. and growing stuff ... SALT - try SALT water ... brine, if ever there was an all cure, its brine, .... ???

penny for thoughts
twopence for an experiment
and a shilling for an ancient tradition who performs this
