I have a lifelong phimosis which I am deligthted to understand from the excellent site means it is probably stretchable: I can retract it when flaccid but during erection it won't pull back, or if it does it is too painful to ejaculate. There is a small area on the side, about 0.5 cm where the skin is attached to the base of the glans penis, but I think this is a separate issue dating back to an old infection.
What sort of cream should I be using for the stretching - will a local anaesthetic cream desensitize my glans?
I have booked an appointment with a Urological Surgeon - how long should I try the stretching before asking for a dorsal slit, or series of slits?
Can anyone recommend a surgeon who is even more specialised in this field. I live in London but would travel to anyone who will do business with BUPA !!!
Has anyone who has had a dorsal slit felt that, after the op and the return to normal use, his penis looked or felt larger? Has a partner commented?
