Hi people,
I'm in my mid 20s. I believe I have primary (and full) phimosis because as far as I can remember I have never been able to retract my forskin (regardless of whether it is flaccid or erect). I have known about my condition for a number of years but since I thought circumcision is the only "fix", I have never attempted to fix my condition.
I have read about the use of hydrocortisone 1% and beta methasone valerate 1% (or 0.5%) cream in treating phimosis. However, it seems as though these are only appropriate for those with secondary phimosis (ie: the phimotic ring).
I would appreciate if someone would inform me of the options available for treating my condition. Is circumcision the only option? Recently, I have read pretty nasty things about circumcision and so I'm quite reluctant to have it. Is there a need to fix my condition?
Thanking all in anticipation.
