If as you say it's not a severe phimosis (& you don't want to cure it with circumcision), you would be well advised to try to end it by stretching, which is discussed in several recent letters on the forum and, if that fails, by dorsal slit. DS can be quite tiny and can still end the problem if the constricting band is cut. The procedure would be expected to take 10 minutes or less, and healing of the cut itself should take 10 days or less. After that, if you retract the foreskin every time you urinate & every time you bathe, the problem WILL NOT recur. Most American doctors seem to have an inordinate fondness for circumcision (The doctor who circumcised my 25-year-old brother told him ds is "not practical," whatever that means!) If you can find a sympathetic MD, you should be able to end this problem in very little time. Good luck, Bob. P.S. Once you end it, keep in touch with the forum & tell others how you managed to do it, since yours unfortunately seems to be a fairly common problem in today's up-to-date, technically savvy world. Somehow after reading the info on this site and some others on the foreskin I really don't think I want to have a circumcision.
