>I've got the same situation, click on my name to e-mail me privatly pleseNo, chances are your phimotic ring has nothing to do with your having become diabetic: plenty of boys & men have phimosis without a trace of diabetes. HOWEVER, because diabetics are more prone to develop infections of the penis in the presence of phimosis (most probably because of high sugar content of the urine), circumcision is sometimes recommended for diabetics in order to reduce the potential for developing infections. Controlling the diabetes should reduce the chances of your getting infections under your phimotic foreskin, but it's still a good idea -- for reasons of general health and hygiene -- to get rid of the phimosis by using one of the recognized methods of control that are available these days.
