i'm in the uk and i got "phimosis" about 9 months ago but i left it about 8 months before i saw the doctor. anyway, after seeing this excellent site i went to my doctor who told me to give it " plenty of excercise". that didn't work so i went back about a month ago and he prescribed canasten hc cream ( although i found out later its cheaper to buy over the counter than on prescription ).
The doc told me to use the cream twice a day ( on the ring and glans ) for two weeks. Within three days there was a BIG improvement and after 7 days the condition was 85% better. But after the first seven days there was no further improvement ?. Before using the cream i couldn't pull my foreskin over the glans when only half hard, now i can pull it over when it's fully erect although it is bloody tight and then bunches up under the glans rather than pulling pack losely ( it wont pull back at all with full erection ).
I'm going back to the docs in the new year and asking for stronger cream ( betamethasone... whatever it is called ) then i have an appointment at the hospitals urology clinic as well.
