hi d,

you should follow your urologists advice about not using the cream for much more than a month. sounds right from what I've heard. best way to keep the skin flexible is to continue stretching. once you've got it to the point where it will easily slip off the head and not try to stay there, you should have it made. as for lubrication of the glans, that's one of the side effects of having a retracted skin. if you look at fellows who have been cut, you'll see their glans is very dry and leathery. not sure, but you might ask the urologist about some kind of lubricant such as ky or astroglide, but i would use it sparingly. Good luck!

>thanks to everybody for the emails. it's been about 3 weeks since i started with the betamethasone. so far, i can pull back (with a little force) about 2/3 of the way. when erect, it's about 1/3. i don't want to pull back all the way in either case because i'm afraid of forcing the skin and then turning phimosis into paraphimosis. i'm really hoping this betamethasone cures my phimosis 100%. about how long did it take most of you (who've had successes)? my urologist wanted me to stop the cream after 1 month.
>i'm still worried about the side effect of thinning skin...i happened to read some of the archived forum messages which talk about this. also, has anybody had their foreskin tighten back up after wheening off the betamethasone? oh...and what can i do about the dryness of the glans?
