Russell, I think you would be well advised to be patient & allow a full recovery from the surgery to take place before you start to evaluate the op's effects. One thing which is important to keep in mind is the fact that sex is a highly subjective affair and it will be difficult for anyone else to tell you what to expect from the procedure. Personally I think you will (AFTER FULL HEALING--maybe a month or even more past the operation) you will experience much improved sensation, with no pain from constricted foreskin or strained frenulum, and will be pleasantly surprised at the final effects of the procedure. As to personal experience: for about a month after my (total) circumcision had healed I felt somewhat "naked," that is to say exposed in the area of the frenulum (which was not removed--I had no frenulum breve problem), and then one day everything suddenly felt "normal," and it's been normal ever since. I think that during sex the overall sensitivity of the penis is somewhat reduced but this doesn't reduce pleasure at all, and when I arrive at orgasm (which may be delayed somewhat as an effect of circumcision) the feeling is marvelous! Regrets? None! Since your circumcision is to be a partial one, you may feel very little effect once your surgery has healed, and restoration to a "normal" feeling may take you less time than it did me. Good luck! Bob.
>In addition to my previous posting I would like to know if I can get further info on peoples experiences as follows:
> I have a very good and enjoyable sex life despite my foreskin not retracting during intercourse. I am concerned about the changes in sensation when I start to have intercourse after my partial circumcision next Monday.
>Will I experience oversensitivity, undersensitivity, inablility to maintain control, shortened duration of sex, premeture ejaculation.
>When I have intercourse the tight preputial ring squeezes the head of my glans and I have a theory that this enables me to keep going a long time (some sex aids work like this I believe.
>Also, my Frenelum breve will be cut during the op. This is a highly sensitive bit and may have an effect.
>I would be greatful for info on peoples experieces both good and bad.
