Torn Frenulum??Next Step??

Here goes. It appears that my frenulum has tore substantially. It tore slightly about a month ago. A doctors visit assured me that it was sexual trauma and would heal in 2-3 weeks. Well this time it tore to just a little above the point it connects to the glans. I pulled the foreskin back below the glans and put a condom on. My girlfriend was stroking my penis and pulled the condom too far back taking with it the foreskin and ripping the fernulum to the point I described above. Would another docters visit result in the same advice? Let it heal on its on and it should be alright in 2-3 weeks? Or should I visit a urologist and have the fernulum cut to the proper point where ever that would be and solve the problem completely. Any advice and answers would be helpful. Thanks.
