>Good advice. There are actually people out to instill fear of paraphimosis, I don't know if they just want to look around and not see anyone elses glans or since they are covered or what.
Obviously millions of men have pulled back the foreskin to uncover thr glans and survived it, and some of us have gone a half century without covering it back up. It stays clean nicely and can actually gain in the very capabplities we like in a sex organ!>I've had phimosis since I was born. I spent many years trying to retract my foreskin. I think I could do it now when penis is flaccid, but I'm afraid of paraphimosis. Should I try to retract it?
>Go ahead & retract it, gently & repeatedly (up to 10 times a day) until it becomes loose enough to retract without putting excess tension on it. Don't be afraid of paraphimosis: if the foreskin gets stuck behind the glans, carefully & gently press this between thumb & forefinger until the trapped blood is forced out of the glans & the foreskin can be replaced in front of it. When you finish retracting, carefully wash the glans & foreskin with mild soap (e.g. Castile) in warm water before replacing the foreskin in front of the glans. This treatment repeated with patience over a period of days should end the problem. Good luck! RJK.
