Of course it does, but you have an awful lot left to work with, and most guys who've been circumcised manage to do very well in the area of sexual intercourse. (I have no regrets whatever.) Plus they have no problems whatever with keeping the penis clean, nor with a tight foreskin or anything of that nature. If the thought of losing nerve endings turns you off & you're having foreskin problems, a short dorsal slit (just enough to free the restricting tissue) can solve the problem & leave you with such a tiny scar it will hardly be noticeable. I suppose a lot depends on what you expect to get out of sex. One thing most of us want is for our partner to enjoy the experience, & of course we want to enjoy it ourselves, too. (Otherwise, why bother?) Personally, I am reasonably certain that my circumcised penis is less sensitive, upon penetration, than it would be if the glans were covered by a loose, moist foreskin. I also expect (but cannot prove) that this lessened sensitivity slows down my reaching a climax. But I KNOW that when I do reach orgasm, this is as delightful an experience as any male human could have. So, am I sorry I'm circumcised? Nope, I'm totally pleased by the condition of my penis, wouldn't have it any other way. And have any of my partners told me they were sorry that I am? Nope, although some have commented favorably about the appearance of my trimmed organ. So yes, circumcision definitely cuts off a lot of nerve endings, but I sometimes wonder if the nerves that are cut form new branches that grow into the cut tissue where they continue to function. Can't prove it, but I know there's a lot of nerve activity in the business end of my penis, & I've no complaints. To sum up: circumcision can solve some foreskin problems for a lot of folks, but I would not urge it on anybody who has an intact penis that functions well, or on anybody who has problems without considering all the alternatives first. It continues to be your penis, your body, your life; and your decision about what you do with all these elements of your existence. Cheers, RJK.
