Urologists report

I've just seen the urologist one year after getting phimosis/BXO. He confirmed that I have BXO and he said there is no explanation why men get this, it just " Happens " ?. I told him I had been using canasten HC and betamethasone 0.025%. He told me to stop using the canasten HC and to carry on with the same strength betamethasone which must be used every other day for two weeks around the white ring and then " stretched " after applying the cream. He then told me to stop using the cream for 2 to 4 weeks but to keep stretching in between and then use the cream again for a further 2 weeks and so on for 6 months when I then have to see him again.
He said I could have a cirumcision, partial circumcision, dorsal slit or circular slit/cut where the " scar tissue " is cut around or removed and then left to grow back ( hopefully ) naturally as it was before the problem started. I could book an appoitment for that right now if I wanted.
However, I will carry on with the cream for 6 months and if there's no major improvement I will probably opt for the circular cut/scar tissue removal.
I told him that after I had stopped using the betamethasone cream the problem seemed to return and would I have to use the cream forever ?. He replied " Probably not but the cream must be used on a regular basis over a period of time. If the skin hasn't streched enough it will return to being tight again ".
So, that's it for the time being I guess.
