Hello Ben,
I really dont mind the new frenuloplasty thread, but at least you could attempt to make it interesting, and what fascinates me always is what these supposed small problems were which you adapted to for years, what did you have to be rather careful about?? - (and be long-winded with pleasure!)
>Neither intercourse nor masturbation was overly problematic (although I had to be rather careful)

You seem to have had a bit of a bodge!
>My first question is why weren't either of these problems resolved in the original operation?
The answer is basicly that the doctors dont see (and have very little idea about) the erectile effects of frenulum breve or phimotic ring.

Now, my first idea is that a little skin bridge formed as a result of the operation. Frenuloplasty should remove the entire frenulum and any trained doctor should be able to do this - complaints about this operation are very unusual. I could suggest you get a magnifying glass and try and see if this practically non-existant strand of skin is connected to the surrounding skin contours or if it seems like an artificial secondary growth. - Is it the remains of the frenulum, or is it a skin bridge??

I presume as you`ve visited my site that you`ve checked and have no relative phimosis to complicate the situation.

If its a skin bridge then maybe you can persuade your local GP to do the snipping, - One year waiting on the NHS, my heart bleeds for the UK, join the lobby to get the lottery money financing the NHS, take a holiday in Germany and get the op. done in a week - sorry there is no professional answer to this -

First try the magnifying glass, get a friend to help, and try and make an accurate diagnosis of what`s happened and what needs to happen to remove the tightness,

good luck
Robin

>Sorry to bother you with yet another of these frenulopasty threads, but as you can imagine, this is rather important to me. I recently had an operation to remove a FRENULUM BREVE that ran from underneath the meatus to the foreskin. Neither intercourse nor masturbation was overly problematic (although I had to be rather careful) and my concern was with yeast infections and girlfriends who were over-vigorous. Enough of the background.
>The problem now is that although the frenulum breve has been separated, there appears to be another at the base of the glans that prevents foreskin retraction past the glans. Indeed it is so short as to be non-existent. Furthermore, the foreskin is still extremely tight and will not retract without a considerable degree of pain when the penis is erect.
>My first question is why weren't either of these problems resolved in the original operation? Mistake perhaps. Secondly, is it worth getting the problem resolved further and what can be done given that the frenulum is now so short and right at the base of the glans. Any ideas of what to do next? I rather assume that I ought to return to my GP, but with a 1yr NHS (UK) waiting list last time, I'm rather hesitant.
>Thanks for any help, my apologies for being so long-winded!
