HW, your experience is interesting in that the anti-circers consider the sensitivity promoted when the glans is kept covered to be a total advantage, yet you did not find it so at all. This accords with the experience of a number of men who report problems with hyper-sensitive glans and excessive sensitivity to touch (Ouch! as you put it). Another point the anti-circers totally ignore: the orgasm which all males normally experience takes place in the BRAIN, NOT the PENIS, and so is very likely to be identical whether the male who experiences it is circumcised or not, provided his brain is normal. One point many agree on is that the circumcised penis is less sensitive than the intact one, and this fact therefore delays the onset of orgasm. (Some disagree with this contention, of course.) Delayed orgasm is felt by many to enhance enjoyment of sex by the female partner in the act, and thus the advantage here lies with the circumcised male. In any case, sex and the enjoyment of sex is a highly subjective matter, so it isn't up to me to tell you that you need to be circumcised, but also it emphatically is not up to you to tell me that I cannot enjoy sex in the circumcised condition and need to "restore" my absent foreskin to have a full sex life. This may all be a bit afield of where we started, but I believe there is no question that sensitivity of the glans isn't everything where good sex is the objective. Keep up the good work! rjk.
>>I subscribe to the philosphy that the glans is meant to be exposed after pubery and in many cases among those with short foreskins will do so automatically or in other cases with slight training.
>Having trained my foreskin to remain behind the glans at an MD authors suggestion, I was pleased with the resultant easy care and the view of the glans. This was when I was about 12, back in 1936. For some reason I encountered a tendency about 30 yres later for the skin to roll forward too often and snipped a half by 1" stripp crosswise from near the tip of the foreskin which enforces the default position of the skin to exposed. Pain was not unbearable, some itching occured with healing, coitus resumed possibly 2 wks later.
>After reading the anti circ postings a year ago I tried a trial period of keeping the glans covered, which only required positioning it forward and wearing briefs. Sensitivity changed and the glans had a moist appearance. My wifes touch was now harsh to me. In spite of multiple washings per day, some extra odor was preesent because the last drops of urine soak into skin and foreskin.
>I am currently wearing foreskin retracted, glans permanently exposed- I could choose otherwise if I believed there was any loss in meaningful sensuous feeling. The glans with exposure to air looses oversensitivity but gains sensitivity around the corona due to emproved stimulation by sintercourse or by hand. My masturbation usually does not consist in pulling skin forward and back but rather is most enjoyable with rh thumb bumping the glans, fingers underneath doing frenulum and underside of glans and finger bumping and stretching ti scrotum (a sensuous area rarely mentioned WHICH EVERY CIRCUMCISED MALE HAS).
>Some dissatisfied circed guys complain of too mich hair on th shaft and blame the circ. but I also would just as soon not have hair on the shaft and it defiunitely hasn't been pulled ther by a tight circ!
>Conclusion though: get that foreskin mobile The glans should get contact with the vagina for good sex. Don't fear exposure of the glans to air- there are post puberty benefits. If you have surgery, I would actually question whether there might be better results with something other than some practictioners standard "tight" circs. Perhaps the cross wise minimal removal, possibly even a removal from near the scrotum would actually produce the "best" result, though it couldn't cure phimosis. There probably could be better results achieve with frenulum breve by snipping parallel to th frenulum which might also facilitate the skinned back option. My point is that much of the anti circ hype is capable of creating dissatisfaction among the circed or fear in those who can benefit from surgical adjustment whereas the surgery is not that detrimental.
>Most of restorerers improved response has to do with 24 hr a day 7 da a wk attention to the penis month after month. You can get the same type benefit paying attention to training a foreskin to stay back, plus the glans will flare a bit and the oversensitivity of the covered glans adjusts to permit the deeper stimuli to do therir job.> I went to the urologist and he has suggested that I be circ.
