If one side, then it is likely a neuralgia caused by pressure on a nerve,
possibly at the spine. Herpes Zoster ("Shingles") may also cause this.If both sides, then the only condition which comes to mind is Herpes simplex
neuritis, which is essentially a result of sexually-conveyed herpes simplex
infection. While this condition mostly shows as ulcers on the genitals, the
"burning" pain and irritation (with no outwardly visible marking) is an
alternative presentation. Usually in women!> He suggested that it may disappear as suddenly appeared,
Hopefully he may be correct, as there does not appear to be any treatment
effective beyond the usual neuralgia therapies; Tegretol or Epilim.> could be worsening things as could any stress related pressures from my job.
As most people know, herpes (notably "cold sores") does tend to activate at
times of stress.
