He refuses to pee in front of me because he is embarassed of his penis. I feel a loss of intimacy. Silly huh? Now I'm feeling guilty! But he has had very few sexual partners, I think the reason for this is his "different" penis. By the way, he knew it was different before I told him it was.

Lorissa, the problem of unpleasant odor could be ended at once, with minimal trauma, by a short dorsal slit, made at the top of the penis to enlarge the pinhole opening. This would allow air to freely reach the area that is now confined under the foreskin and keep the glans and foreskin sufficiently dry to inhibit growth of odor-causing organisms, and permit the area to be cleaned easily. Since you apparently live in the USA (where circumcision is common), when you look for a urologist you may find a physician who is keen to do a circumcision, but you don't need to accept this advice. Inasmuch as your friend now tries to keep the area clean & fails to control odors because of the confining foreskin, a minor (but not traumatic) intervention is certainly justified. I would suggest you two go to a urologist, but keep your "cool" and don't be stampeded into something you don't want. (If he/she has "never heaard of dorsal slit," go find another doc!) Best wishes, rjk.
