Guys, I'm well past 20 but have had some problems with doctors in the past, however showing them my penis wasn't one of them. My attitude on this is, whether you are favorably or unfavorably impressed by my penis, it is mine, not yours (or the doctor's!), and what I (and my significant other) think about it is all that matters.
Another thing to keep in mind at all times -- this is important -- is that the doctor is in business first (in the USA, at least!) to make money, and then and then to take care of the problem you are having, to the best of his/her ability. Your money is what controls the service you get, so there's no reason whatever to be afraid of him. If he urges a procedure that you don't want, you can firmly refuse it and, if he is insistent, you can always tell him to climb a tree (or get stuffed, or whatever) and move on to a more reasonable practitioneir. The experience may cost you a fee, but you should at least get some useful information out of it.
The point is, you need help now, and you need to go to somebody who can provide it, namely the doc. Circumcision is of sourse popular in the USA and you may be urged to have it done, but, I repeat, you don't have to accept this solution unless you want it. A short dorsal slit usually accomplishes the same result as a circumcision (and isn't particularly ugly if properly done), and a frenuloplasty (cutting the binding tissue) can do the same thing for frenulum breve. Result: end of problem.
So, advice from one who has had a long (and not always happy) relationship with doctors: DON'T BE AFRAID. STAND YOUR GROUND. Grit your teeth and go to the doctor, have your problem looked at, and then get it taken care of. You can have it over and done with a lot sooner than you might think. Good luck! rjk.
>>I have phimosis/frenulum breve and am desperate to get it rectified but I am too embarassed to go to a doctor. I have planned on going for a few years now but keep putting it off. The main reason is because I know an erection will occur under examination, I can`t control it at all. Please help I don`t know what to do and it is now getting me depressed as I can`t have any sex life. I am 20 yrs old.
