Spyros, it's great to see your report here! I hope you'll keep an eye on this site & pass your message on to the many who report problems with tight foreskins, phimosis et al here, but are scared or unwilling to go to a doctor who can do something about such problems. It might be helpful to find & pass on information about physicians who are willing to do dorsal slits instead of remaining wedded to the idea of "circumcision for all," though this is probably easier said than done. My own feeling is that if a tiny d.s. were done on all male kids shortly after birth as a prophylactic procedure, most of the foreskin problems that get reported simply wouldn't arise. I knew one kid who had a minute dorsal slit done at birth (so small you would not notice it unless you took a close look at his penis), who was not even aware of it, but who had a loose foreskin that never collected dirt or got in the way. Keep up the good work of reportage. Looks as if your troubles in that department are OVER! Congratulations. Cheers, rjk.
>just an update, back about 5 months ago I had a dorsal slit to treat my phimosis. Well, no regets except that I should have had it done sooner. My sex life is great(as great as it can be with 2 kids under 3) there is no difference between sex now and prephimosis. I was very against a circ. and after going to 4 doctors I found one that would do the slit. Im very glad that I got to keep my foreskin and only had to have a small modifcation to my penise.
