> Should I just get the .5% because it will work faster? That does make sense for this particular purpose. But it is less
commonly used and therefore more difficult to obtain. Certainly in
Australia, only the 0.05% ("half-strength") is on the National Health
Scheme, so the others have become quite difficult to obtain from
chemists, in fact the .5% does not appears to be obtainable at all.> And should I get it in cream form, ointment form, or what?
The ointment form is preferred, since it has better penetration into
intact skin. In fact, the ointment form of 0.05% is probably pretty
good for starters, maybe 0.1% would work a bit better, but it's likely
not worth chasing the real strong stuff anyway.I feel that the ointment form is also less likely to wash off/ sweat
off or rub off. This is significant since you want to get it only
on the tight part of the foreskin as becomes visible when you put it
"on the stretch", so this is how you apply it each time. You should
also use only a light smear - if it feels "greasy", you've applied
more than enough, which is too much - and you should wash the finger(s)
you used to apply it afterward as you don't need it anywhere else.Valerate/ dipropionate etc., probably doesn't matter.
And do remember the stretching is the important part, the betamethasone
merely softens the collagen fibres so you can stretch.> Also, does anybody know of any internet sites where one can order
> betamethasone cream?Well, to do so is illegal in first-world countries - so you figure.

That's sad, but a fact of life in America and perhaps Australia. Can I
just say in fairness to the doc, that most likely very few of the
people he sees are actually motivated to get off their asses and
actually do anything to help themselves? Accordingly, even if he wanted
to offer anything other than the "quick fix", he probably got cheesed
off long ago trying to suggest it.
