Careful of everything!

You are somewhat more likely to find doctors concerned to fix problems instead
of advising automatic circumcision, than if you were in the USA.

I'm sure it is, as it is not used to being exposed. I did suggest
reading my explanatory posts from earlier answers in this forum, notably
"Normal, but" in regard to the concept that this degree of sensitivity
is quite usual for the glans which is not used to exposure and is really
no different from the normal situation for a woman's clitoris, which must
simply be taken into account rather than be seen as something to be "fixed".
However, I do make suggestions regarding accustoming the glans to
exposure in a progressive fashion.

OK, it needs progressive stretching.

Possibly so. Nothing to panic about - it's been there ages. A suggestion
made elsewhere (the other forum I refer to below, actually) is that, having
accustomed your glans to some touching, you could get a moistened cotton bud
("Q-tip") and run that under the foreskin to dislodge and mop out the smegma.
This also allows you to assess whether any firmer adhesions are present,
which may also hinder retraction.

This is relative, as I explained in Re: Exposing the glans: potential problems?.
Intercourse is about the contact of two lubricated areas, which parallels
the situation of your glans when covered by the foreskin. Obviously, in this
situation, it is comfortable.

Apart from the anaesthetic, not long at all.

That depends entirely on your financial health. ;-)

My apologies for not replying earlier. This forum had a financial hiccough
and was off-line awhile. I note a contribution from the "peanut gallery"
below, in the interim. Obviously, those who are impatient may well be suited
more by the "quick fix" - surgery - and subsequently come to the opinion
that it's that "obvious" and "only" solution. It suits them not to see the
disadvantages.

I referred previously to another forum as being of help. It's a pretty lively
one as regards discussion. If you were to examine the experiences of a poster
calling himself "The New Jersey Kid" or "NJ Kid" on the
Fathermag circumcision forum, page 25, he started with exactly your situation
just recently and has the situation almost perfectly sorted out by now and
is very happy about it indeed, using simple persistence in stretching and
retraction. (Note that the page indicated is not the latest, active page
of that forum, and NJ Kid has postings on later pages as well.)
