>Good news is yes. The bad news is that no matter how you look at it, you will be circumcised ! The operation is a circumcision, but you can remove any amount of skin you wish to have the desired result. Since your foreskin is healthy, the removed skin can be taken from anywhere so you can keep all the inner foreskin if you wish.
>You need not fear circumcision, it is a very simple operation on an adult, especially when you have a healthy foreskin (makes it easier to position it and work it).
>Don't waste your time. If your foreskin has been bothering you, and you are past 16-17 ans, tell yourself that it won't shorten and you're stuck with it for the rest of your life. Some males have the foreskin that shortens during puberty (which is what I had hoped would happen to me, but it didn't , so I got cut). So, just do it (or get it done :-)

>Since your foreskin is healthy, what I would recommen you do is spend time measuring exactly how much shoter you want your skin to be. You have to defne how much coverage you want of head when soft (half, 2/3 3/4, all), and how much skin you need when hard. once you know how much to cut, go to a doctor, and insist on a partial circumcision, and also tell him about the measure of skin you want removed and where you want it removed from.
>Many doctors are reluctant to do partial circs because the style has a bad reputation in some studies for partial circs on babies. But I have not seen anything bad about partal circs on adults (perhaps because they are rare). However, stand your ground and insist or go see another doctor.

>This can be fixed at a later time, this may or may not be a problem depending on how much skin is removed. But if you want your skin smooth on shaft when hard (indicating at least a bit of tightness, you may ask him to either remove frenulum alltogether, or just separate it from the glans so that your head can stand tall and proud no matter how tight the shaft skin gets.
>Hope this helps.
Halfclip, I fully agree with you that there is nothing to fear about circumcision. I'm fully satisfied with mine which, by the way, preserved most of the inner foreskin while getting rid of ALL of the outer. My girlfriends have commented favorably on the looks of it too, if that's of importance to you. (It's the feeling that I like!) But I disagree with you that circumcision is the only way to deal with a foreskin problem. A dorsal slit will serve to expose the glans and keep it easy to clean but of course it WILL NOT shorten a long foreskin, & if that's the main problem, a carefully planned circumcision, done with the cooperation of a sympathetic physician, would seem to me to be the best way to go. One possible additional complication (in the USA, at least!) is that it's lots easier to find a doctor who's willing to do a circumcision than a dorsal slit.
So, David, I think Halfclip is giving it to you straight & if you will get over the idea of not wanting circumcision you'll be well on the way to ending your problem. Best wishes, Bob.
