Not sure. I can only recommend you pull it back as often as possible to
encourage it to stretch. If the skin fissures (cracks), that's another problem.

Essentially the same reasons you do not insert such products in the urinary
opening or up your nose. It irritates (in fact, in those places, it hurts, which
is a good hint), and it's unnecessary.
