John: You don't sound sarcastic. I didn't expect a "proper" diagnosis on a message board. I've actually seen two doctors. The first simply said not to worry and it would disappear and that it was just a collection of fluid. The second said it would have to be removed and he wanted me in the next day for the removal. Neither could really say what it was - the fluid was "penile" (I hoped as much). As an answer to my question, why it needed to be removed, the second doctor said that it didn't belong there. After the second doctor, I felt that a message board would probably give me a better diagnosis than these two doctors. I've probably had bad luck in my choice of doctors...
