Okay, this is my account of what happend to me. Firstly, I had the foreskin cut so when flacid it just covers the rim of the "helmet". As I understand it, this is called a "partial circ". But a circ's a circ!

Firstly, I could have driven home afterwards if I'd wanted too, but am glad that I didn't because the anti-sceptic spray which was applied to the "wound" at the end (before bandaging) stung like crazy for about an hour (this was the most painful part of it all). Not every Doctor will do this, as it could be uneccessary depending on what cut, or maybe they just don't!

I was in a state of terror prior to being cut. I was resolved to getting it done and am now thankful it has been, but I was scared silly too. But only for two minutes. I had a surgeon and nurse assisting. for some reason when I got in the room where it was going to be done I wasn't scared or embarrassed at all (little nervous maybe, but no longer terrified). As soon as I went in I got the impression that this is completely routine to these people. They've seen and done this a thousand times before. The nurse passed the time of day with chit-chat (trying to distract me I think), while the surgeon did his work.
The most uncomfortable part of the procedure were the injections. I was injected underneath at the base of the shaft of my penis. The first injection hurt for about one second (kind of like the pain a bee sting in that area would hurt). After that there were a couple more injections, but they didn't hurt overly because the local was taking effect. Once the local had took they got to work and I didn't feel anything in that area.

Oh yeah, it just occurred to me, there was one thing that I was REALLY worried about: having it cleaned by the doctor. I was really uncomfortable with the idea of someone, man or woman, cleaning MY dick. But, like I said before, they've seen and done it before. It wasn't painful and it sure as heck wasn't erotic!!! It'd be like you scrubbing dirt from potatoes before peeling them (though not that rough)!

You asked if you can see it happening. Well for me the answer was: no. I was laying on the "operating" table for the whole thing looking at the ceiling, talking, and even sometimes laughing with the nurse. I stress again: I was terrified before going in. I suppose this is the relief of finally getting it done and out of the way (this took me ten years to get the courgage to do!).

Now, I don't know if you worried about afterwards, I know I was. So here's some questions that I would have like answered if I'd known to ask them better.

1) Does it hurt afterwards?

Yes, when you get an erection, the stitches pull some.

2) How long does that last?

For me, a week. By the end of the week it's really starting to calm down.

3) What does the penis look like afterwards?

For the first couple of days my penis really looked awful. I could only see the base (as the middle/top was bandaged - except for the "eye") and it was swollen. It looked awful. Thankfully, it was just the effects of the procedure and the local. That swelling went down after a couple of days.

4) What does it look like when it's out of bandages?

Well, mine looked ugly. Really bad. I was freaking out. I was upset. There's plenty of pictures online at www.cirg.org (I think) of loose and low circ's and high and tight, but there's not too many (if at all) of partial. Thankfully it was just the after effects of having the operation. It took a period of three weeks from beginning to end to really start to look good/healed.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any other questions.
