circ on May 30 - problems

I was circ on May 30. It has been 3 weeks yesterday and I still have all my stitches. They are to supposed to dissolve. A few have but the majority of them are still there - they are white now but still there. My wife has been trimming them and I have been soaking in an anti-bacterial soapy bath everynight to help soften them. On the left side of my Penis - between the glans and the shaft in the crevice - it is sore and red there and when my wife tries to cut those stitches - it feels as if a knife is going into me. The stitches on the right side (my right) are normal and she is able to clip a few each day and ease the pressure. Anu suggestions. I am thinking of going to my GP, but he is not a surgeon. Can he remove the stitches? Also I don't know if he would do anything to it since he did not perform the operation> I have posted this also on the circlist forumn too. I am still in pain after 3 weeks with stitches too. Is this normal? Thanks for you help - Gary
