As an answer to: how do i tell my parents that i wanna get circumsized? i think i have phimosis. written by Ravi at 16 Jul 2001 23:21:43:

Fair enough. Your posting looks remarkably familiar - I believe it was rejected from the other forum where
you attempted to post it as it is against the rules to post e-mail addresses there (simply to avoid predators
finding subjects for their advances - a sad fact of internet life).

That sounds about right.

Do you mean it does blow up when you pee, or just if you hold the end shut?

Not too bad then. ;-)

Well of course, he would say that, because he doesn't know any better.

But if you haven't asked, and not been shown, you wouldn't know that he can, and he most likely can.
Unfortunately, as stated in the preamble to this forum, it is quite important that fathers teach their
sons to pull their foreskins back from the earliest age that they can, that being somewhere between four
and seven years old. If your father has neglected to teach you this, he has indeed done you a disservice
and that's the nub of it.

Please start by reading all the messages here (and the other forum) that sound relevant to your situation.
Particularly look for the "New Jersey Kid" or "NJ Kid" on the other forum. Your first problem is that, not
knowing what is going on, you are talking about circumcision. You should forget circumcision, if nothing
else worked over the next few years, a simpler procedure called a "dorsal slit" would serve you perfectly
well. But that is by no means the first consideration. What you need to do is to stretch your foreskin so it
retracts as it should. This is really quite straightforward, but as I say, do read those posts, find out what
it is all about, and then come back and ask whatever questions remain.
