You'd do much better to take it to a physician who knows something about these things, than to try cutting it loose yourself. You probably wouldn't die & you probably would heal uneventfully but it might hurt more than you expected--there are lots of nerves in that part of the body--and you just don't know what could happen. In any case, unless you're in a location where modern medicinal facilities are not available, it doesn't seem quite bright to start in cutting on yourself. Have a care! rjk.
