Probably not. Does your foreskin come back and uncover the penis head easily? If so, you're not likely to be rough on it.
If it doesn't come back easily, you need to make a point of pulling it back frequently to make sure it does, and it may get a bit sore in the early stages until it stretches to allow for it.
