Pulling backwards, so that the glans is uncovered, is a good way of preventing a tight foreskin from becoming a problem. But remember that is only one purpose of masturbation. the other is to pleasure yourself, so try all sorts of different ways (but, whatever you do, don't get carpet burns!)
