>Its now 2 weeks since I had the op`, and things are getting a lot more comfortable now. I did away with the painkillers after a couple of days as they were making me constipated - (sorry! too much information). The swelling has now pretty much gone down, and the wound seems to healing quite well. I have been keeping everything clean with salt water washes which seems to have helped a lot.

>I`m concerned that in Pete`s reply to my original posting, he said the stiches should be removed instead of letting them disolve, is this right? I still seem to have a few stubborn ones hanging in there, one of which is right on the frenulem, and is fairly tender.
>The other thing I`m a bit concerned about is that my glans seems to be shedding its old skin in places, is this normal? I`m assuming its `cos it got knocked around a bit during the op`?

I was circ May 30. It took 6 - 7 weeks for my stitches to completely dissolve and I had a lot of bleeding problems too. It is all healed up now and is great. The head is still sensitive and a little sore in the redge but that should go away in time. Sex is great. It is fun using astroglide giving myself hand jobs now - I do miss having sex without lube though but my wife is dry and we have to use it. Give it time - my doc used heavier stitches on me. like you would for someone who is a diabetic even though I am not. Felt like wire sticking out of my penis. Good luck - things will get better - I did not think so but now I know - give it time. DONT RUSH THINGS. Good Luck. Gary
