Hi everybody.. I very recently met up with a lady friend who used to suffer from vulvodynia... and at the age of 38, she's only been able to have sex for the last two years. Well, we've paired up, and I was inspired to go searching on the 'net to find out what my problem is.

Wow! what a site! I'm not sure what exactly I have.. what I do know is, i've never really seen my glans, flaccid or erect -- any attempt to pull the foreskin back ends up in a gradually resistance..

So.. well, here's what I do see: as I wrap the foreskin back, it only goes so far back, and I end up with this.. ring? it has viens visible in it.. everything is so well lubricated, its hard to grab on to. if I peel it back a little bit on each side, i can peruse the inside, and at the.. dorsal? end, there's a ridge that goes about 2-3 mm, starts from the ring and disappears into the glans.

I do know that my glans is VERY sensitive, heck i can hardly touch it.. right now i'm elated at the realization that yes, things are definitely different for me.. but i'm also scared.. i DONT LIKE PAIN.

I'm hoping to hear that other people who had this problem fixed ended up desensitizing? I'm hoping to find the confidence/courage to go talk to a urologist about this? Prefereably one who is not circumcision happy?

Anyway. Just thought i'd introduce myself. I joined the mailing list too, but that seems fairly inactive compared to here.
