Hi all,
Most of you have probably read one of my posts along the way. If not here's a brief overview of me - I'm 25 and a few months back had a partial circ, and my frenulum removed as since I was little I've not been able to retract my foreskin while erect without extreme pain and discomfort.
I'm not pro or anti circ, but I can tell you that this site is for educational purposes and, as the website - http://www.male-initiation.net/ states, this forum/site is The Third Perspective on Male Circumcision. It deals with the facts. Not the hype, and the fear.
Yep, granted, it's always preferable to have a medical condition resolved by non-surgical means. However, this is not always possible. A circumcision in an adult in no way raises the same ethical arguements as an abortion. It upsets me when those that continuously suggest stretching to resolve related foreskin issues and then say something like "avoid surgery at all costs". There are several accounts online that state stretching has not worked for them, or that it has worked but only temporarily and then the foreskin has reverted to it's former tightness.
All I'm saying is this: Sugery is an option, and remains option at all times. Stetching works for some, and not for others. Surgery is not a taboo subject.
If you are so against circumcisions than I don't think this is the forum for you. There's plenty of anti-circs sites to post at, that will reach the audience that'll embrace your ideas.
This forum is here for those with foreskin/penis problems. They come here to learn, review their options, ask advice, ask questions, and recognise that they are not alone in dealing with a problem which can be very isolating with little or no support or information readily available. They DO NOT come here to be scared out of surgery, which, like it or not, is the only way to solve some of the conditions related to the foreskin/penis.
Thanks for your time.
