Certainly, in terms of availability, a Thudicum's makes sense. The cost (about $20 as I recall, excessive one might say for the amount of metal, but ...) would be quite reasonable for the purpose.

A modification to turn the tips of the blades outward to make it more comfortable and self-retaining, would be relatively straightforward.

What do you think, "Jim22"? This has set me off on a whole new tangent - I was thinking plastic and totally confined within the phimotic area, but an appliance with the spring arms retroflexed in a manner impossible for a Thudicum's, to hug the penile shaft, becomes quite practical to manufacture.
