I wouldn't worry about things used in manufacture of the TP. I would worry about someone else touching the paper in a public facility. At home, this would not however be a worry.

At home, a facecloth that you rinse each time with good warm water (and may in fact use on your face and such) would be a nice luxury, as it is for ladies (some spouses might share/ use it on each other of course ;-). That is less likely to abrade, or to leave lint!

It is always salutary to consider this in relationship to the ladies. To what extent do they need to wipe and why? The pieces are essentially the same.
