None. I've never seen any studies or evidence that body hair in any location serves any health purpose other than the fact that it's there. Women spend great amounts of money and time removing it, and increasingly males are also going for the bald look and removing or especially triming their pubic hair. In Islam, this is a religious requirement for males.
The only disadvantage is that there is a period of a few days when it itches slightly as the hair grows back in.
