I suggest using the ointment version if available. Betamethasone in either form, but Triamcinolone is virtually the same. Presumably, the stronger, the better, 0.1% is generally the strongest available.
Apply very specifically, and very sparingly, to the tight skin only, not the glans. If it feels greasy afterward, too much has been applied.
