As an answer to: Circumcision - No! written by Paul B. at 30 Oct 2001 09:18:31:

> Please understand. Circumcision is a ritual mutilation whose deliberate purpose is to cause a calculated amount of damage to the penis, and limit its sexual functioning. That is what circumcision is, it is not a medical procedure except in the most extreme of cases. It is however inordinately popular in America.

Circumcision does not limit sexual functioning at all. In fact, in circumstances wherein a tight foreksin or frenulum causes pain to the erect penis and prevents proper function, a circumcision allows far superior "sexual functioning".

>>If the simple applications I suggest do not settle the irritation, and the foreskin is still tight, you might need to see a doctor to obtain a prescription for a steroid preparation to be used in addition. Do beware that some American doctors think in terms of circumcision even where it is not needed, because there is a tradition there of profiteering from the operation!

Tradition of profiteering!?! I'm not even going to ask you to provide facts on this. As anyone knows 81% of statistics are made up anyway! I mean, imagine if this was indeed the case - Doctors would be losing their right to practice medicine just for a couple of bucks! I'm not saying that every Doctors/Urologist in the world is an angel, but I'm sure as heck going to have at least some faith that they are a) qualified to make a diagnosis, b) want what is best for their patient.
