No problem. However, I don't think grapefruit is going to help your situation either. Grapefruit is a fruit with sugars. You have to avoid anything with sugars that you possible can. Stick to eggs or some kind of unprocessed meat, or even better, nothing but fresh raw vegetables.

It won't be easy doing what you have to do, if indeed Candida is the culprit. During the month I was on the diet, I was half-starved all the time. At the time I was driving a lot, so I carried carrot sticks (they also have sugar by the way) and celery sticks to carry me through. The one noticeable difference was that my thinking was crystal clear and I felt better than I had felt in years. I'd suggest reading about food combining when you get a chance. Two authorities on the subject are Harvey and Marilyn Diamond who wrote "Fit for Life", among others. When you stop mixing proteins and carbohydrates at the same meal, you gain tremendous energy. Evidentally the stomach is greatly taxed by trying to digest the two different types of food simultaneously, so doing one at a time allows it to become more efficient, thus leaving you with more energy. Just keep in mind, it won't hurt you to try it, and you could regain your full health in doing it. Good luck to you.
