Sorry, Spyros, read it again! That is what you imagine him to be saying, but it's not what rjk said at all. Let me quote for you: "it would seem that the two most likely options you have are circumcision, ... and dorsal slit". He is not advising a surgical remedy for fraenulum breve, the actual condition David appears to have, he's advising circumcision or dorsal slit, surgical treatments for phimosis, the wrong diagnosis.
> he did say "ive never been able to pull my skin back with ease".
Indeed he (David) did. But as he goes on to describe, this is not phimosis.
> And I can understand being quick to jump at someone that is spreading advice that is less then accurate
I'm all for being good fellows, jolly good company and such. Unfortunately, it is reasonable to assume many people come here for advice on moderately serious problems, and I personally feel it important that they receive advice that is completely accurate. I know that is difficult, given the limited information that is often offered and this forum is a good example of this.
David however clearly identifies his fraenulum as the problem area, so I conclude that had rjk seriously read the post, he would have realised this, it is evident he did not identify it as such, and I therefore suggested that he had "gone off half-cocked" which is on the one hand, a common english aphorism to indicate an un-prepared approach, and on the other hand, a quite wicked pun. (;-)
> rjk has given out excellent info for years on this forum please don't attack him.
> He's a good guy that gives out good info, like you.I'm sorry. Good advice in many respects, but not infrequently wrong, and particularly in this case. Where that is the case, it is important to state this clearly and concisely, and correct it. There is no other moral option, I cannot ignore it. That's how it has to be. If you should find me wrong, please do feel free to correct me, but do make sure you have it straight first.
And yes, I do know the other!
