Good thing too. Fortunate fellow.

. . . But may we presume that your foreskin can be pulled back past the head while you have an erection, and pulled forward over it just as easily? If you are saying the head is numb, is it numb all over, both sides, top and bottom? What about the foreskin and penile shaft?

The questions about your foreskin may seem a little odd but it is after all, the only moving part of your penis, and therefore most likely to have some connection with any problem. Just to confirm, your penis head was rather purple - for how long and does it look totally normal now?

And for that, we must ask your age? If under 30, it's most unlikely to be any problem with the blood vessels.

In summary, if you are young, your foreskin moves back and forth properly over an erection, and you woke with this problem, you most likely were sleeping on it in some fashion so that it became trapped and the blood vessels constricted for a while. And it will most likely settle in time.

This sort of thing happens frequently if you are drunk or drugged. Were you perhaps?
