For some reason you've touched a never with PaulB. Please ignore him and his anti-circ extremist group. Too much preaching and poor facts for my liking!

The problem could be related to a number of things. If, as you say, you can retract okay, then you don't need a circumcision. There is a condition called Phimosis in which the foreskin can sometimes get stuck/trapped behind the helmet of the penis and that can lead to problems - but that isn't what's happening here, I don't think. I can't say I've had any experience with a problem such as you currently have (it sounds to me like some physical trauma - i.e bruise or something). Anyway, I'm not a Doctor, and neither are the people here, and that's why it's important to go see your Doctor. I know it's embarrassing but he's seen it all before. Please take what PaulB says about Doctors with a pinch of salt - Believe or not they really are qualified and are there to help. He's not going to suggest a circumcision, simply because you have a problem with you penis.

Try speaking to your Dad, Uncle, or an older Brother and see if they have had anything similar ever happen to them. Also, it might be good to mention it to your parents so they can give you some moral support. I'm sure you are okay, and that you have nothing to worry about, but a Doctor's opinion is worth far more. Besides it's better than sitting about worrying about it. Plus it'll put you mind at rest!
