It will assist the stretching of scar tissue - if you use it and you stretch, you will get more rapid stretching than stretching alone. Unless you actually stretch the tissue, it will get no longer/ looser.

The most current and effective form of stretching in all fields of plastic (reconstructive) surgery is the use of continuous applied pressure at less than the level of pain. This is much more effective than intermittent stretching, so whatever way you can devise to apply continuous tension in the direction and place you wish the stretching to occur, is the preferred way of achieving the stretching, with or without the betamethasone.
