Approaching the Doctor was real scary for me, and I'm sure that any man would be scared too. However, they've seen it all before and you'd be just another patient. Also, it's worth taking into account that a) any examination of the foreskin will be over before you can recite the alphabet - i.e it doesn't take long at all, b) it's not erotic. Of course, in saying that, it is totally embarrassing showing off your manhood and having your Doctor look at it. From what you say, it appears that you do have a problem and I'd certainly be inclined to see a Doctor; as it's not right to have a noose around penis. I'd be inclined to read the information at the website that hosts this forum to help you more accurately diagnos what the exact nature of the problem is (sounds to me like a phimosis/para-phimosis type thing).
