A study of 512 young patients showed that 100% of the boys who had phimosis responded favorably to balloon stretching of their frenar bands. Most had results from the first treatment which consisted of inserting a balloon into the opening and inflating it, deflating, repeating two more times. 3 or 4 had to repeat treatments on subsequent occasions. Bottomline: All had success through stretching. Details at www.cirp.org.
Interesting note: They use plastic and stick it in the preputial opening!
