Thanks Jim for your advice. It could easily be a 4 month wait before the operation is arranged, so perhaps I can make inroads before then with your method.

I'm also interested in the psychological effects. I'm 35 now, and other than a few brief (and painfully unsatisfying) attempts at the age of 20-23, I haven't had any real intercourse/relationships and probably still have the sexual maturity of a 14 year old! In the past I've always got so frustrated that I've thought screw the whole business, and never seen the attraction of sex. But having discovered the root of the problem, now I want what other people have always had.

Can someone point me to some good sites which will bring me up to speed and/or address my various insecurities?!
