I understand your not running straight to your GP, but it seems an earlier visit with him/her would have at leeast cut short your suffering with the symptoms. There's no avoiding seeing your GP because you need to identify exactly what beasties are having a nip at your foreskin.
Has your g/f indicated that she has or had an STD? Even absent anything of the sort, keep in mind that the human mouth is one of the dirtiest places on the body and a human bite often much worse than an animal bite.
You also may have a case of balanoposthitis which is an inflamation and/or infection of the foreskin and glans. This can be caused simply by using soap to wash under your foreskin instead of just clear water. Your GP will probably have you get some NIZORAL from the chemist to clear it up.
Let us know how you do. Your willy's not going to fall off, but it needs to be seen to PDQ.
